Col. Richard (Dick) Cole (then 2nd Lieutenant) flew from the deck of the Aircraft Carrier U.S.S. Hornet on what would be one of the most daring raids on the empire of Japan during World War II. Cole was the co-pilot of a B-25B Mitchell bomber piloted by Lt. Col. James H. β€œJimmy” Doolittle, the mission leader. His plane was one of sixteen bombers with a mission to bomb Tokyo and other key cities in Japan that day. This attack, America’s first retaliatory strike, would be so decisive that it would ultimately lead to the turning point of the war by provoking the Japanese counter attack and defeat at Midway in June of that same year. I ordered this item THREE times and each time it arrived, it was wrong. As you see the photograph is shown with an Artifact at the bottom outlined in a rectangle, and the Artifact is also referred to in the description. The first time I ordered it, the correct photograph arrived but there was NO artifact; the second time it was of a totally different photograph from the signing of the peace agreement at the end of WWII; the third time it was replaced, again there was No artifact. Each time I completed the paperwork saying that the artifact was Missing and please send the photograph with the Artifact this time. My credit card was charged Twice. I was credited back on my credit card once. I had to make a complaint to get my second charge also credited back weeks after the third one was returned. It was been nothing but a frustrating draining ordeal. I still want the Photograph With the Artifact -- but despite my conversations with Amazon.com reps (who are always pleasant and appear to try to be accommodating), no one checks into Why and How I can possibly get this photograph With the Artifact. ### ⭐ 1.0 out of 5 stars Received wrong picture twice *by G***Z on Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2014* The event that this picture commemorates is huge and an important part of history and of great sacrifice. I just wanted to remember this event for myself and my children I just wish I would have gotten the correct picture for this huge historical event. Received a picture without the artifact told I would receive the second one with the artifact and could return the first one. Received the second one today with no artifact now I have two to send back and since I live in Canada I have to pay for shipping to return them. I am very disappointed with Amazon since I was told that the picture would be checked before being sent out the second time to make sure it had the artifact in the picture. So when I got the shipping notice I was excited that the right one was sent. Not so!
