At first I was not happy with the .004 I was getting, but tried resetting the arbor at four points (0,90,180, and 270 degrees) until I go the best runout reading then did the same with the chuck. At the end of the process I measured (several times to be sure) and was getting well below 0.001 in. run-out at the bit.
