Or can you just spray with water prior to use?** A: Splash and go, This one (1000) grit does not require that much water. the 320 grit (blue stone) requires lots of water....it is technically a splash and go as well, but I find that it works better for me if i soak it for a short period of time....like 5 - 10 minutes. **Q: Is this "Shaputon 2000" REALLY the "Ha no Kuromaku KO703" by Shapton as depicted on your picture, or is it a different product?** A: I received a genuine Shapton product when ordered 2000 grit one. They should be the exact same performace stone as Shapton Pro range. **Q: Is this stone two sided with varying grains? The side with writing on it seems rougher.** A: Thanks for the question. This grinding wheel is one-sided.
