They have stayed on and worked well for us. I read some reviews about the corners being bent, but ours stuck completely to the window, so maybe that is the difference. If you get them and they don't flatten out completely, exchange or return them immediately. **Q: will it stick well to tinted widows?** A: It doesn't stick well to my windows at all, tinted or not **Q: Should these be bent when open? 2 corners stick out 6" from the window when I press in the middle: is it defective or is there a trick to get flat?** A: No those are defective. Ours came twisted and folded like the storage bins that pop open or the hampers that spring open. I would return them and get them replaced. Ours do not stick out from the window at all. **Q: Can I use these on my room window in my house? I don't care if it looks ugly, &will it ruin the window?** A: I don't know why you couldn't use them on a window of a house. The sticky film looks bumpy so they might not look great from the outside looking in, but they look great on the inside (if that's where you are going to put them).
