Faster:The reversed angle matches up with the pad of your thumb sooner than the factory button. You will find the gun in your hand just by grabbing it. Weak hand drawing becomes faster as well. More Reliable: The wider release button means you have even less potential to miss the activation, especially on thigh rigs or mounting systems that push the holster away from your body. If you have ever found yourself pulling up on the gun before hitting the release you've noticed that gun is difficult to almost impossible to get out. The additional leverage of the Nub Mod fixes this stress induced or poor training problem if it ever arises due to the increased surface area for the thumb to engage. Simple Install: Simply press the larger nub piece over the factory button from the inside of the holster. Align the smaller narrow piece with the top of the larger one. Insert screw and tighten with supplied allen wrench. You may add Loc Tite or finger nail polish to the threads if desired. Are you, like me, hating the stock tiny nub that disengages the ALS system?Then buy this overpriced nubbin and fix the issue.Pros: big enough to ensure reliable draws without sacrificing security. Doesn't interfere with the grab guard.Cons: I just paid 2/3rds the cost of the entire holster for a small piece of machined (albeit nicely) aluminum and a .01 cent screw.I mean, getting a good draw could decide whether I live or die and $30 is worth increasing my chances. This company is making money hand over fist with these and will keep doing so until someone makes a polymer version for $10.UPDATE: So after thousands of draws and months of duty use the nub mod is still cooking. I put a tiny bit of blue loctite on the screw, and it hasn't budged. I just ordered another one for a new holster.I gotta say I appreciate how much thought went into this little part. It's perfectly designed.UPDATE PT 2: I accidentally got shipped a pack that had a right hand outside and left side inner piece. I called the company who CALLED. ME. BACK. It is easy to install and takes no time to learn while using the same draw stroke as the original function. My only gripe is it is way too expensive for what it is. I bought 2 QLS plates and a QLS fork for the same price as this two part add-on.
