Two of my wheels had to be smacked on with a mallet. Regular wood screw with flat heads seem to be to small. Recommendation?** A: I drilled and countersunk 2 additional holes per plate to fit #14 wood screws **Q: Where can I get extra mounting plates?** A: I also bought the Powertec plates #71132. They are too big! They are wider by a 1/4" - and taller by 1/4" so they are too loose when mounted. **Q: What is the maximum clearance that you can achieve between bottom of the leg and the floor?** A: I used an inch and a quarter 11/4. The instructions don’t give you any of this information. **Q: Will these work on slightly angled outward legs?** A: If you mount these to a splayed leg, then the casters will have a difficult time swiveling. I have two items in my shop that I've mounted these casters to that have splayed legs. On one, I placed wedges between the legs and 2x4 cross members to make the 2x4s stand plumb and mounted the casters to those.
