Review: A fun game for my 4-year-old - We got this for our 4-year-old son for Christmas. It's a very cute little game that was easy for him to get the hang of. It comes with, as other reviewers have stated, cardboard cutouts with hay bales printed on them behind which you are supposed to hide your pieces (they're very easy to peek over). Whenever you draw an animal, you have to open the barn and draw one out without looking. These two aspects of the game can be challenging for a preschooler, but then so can hide and seek, where they can also easily peek while counting. All in all, we found it to be a lot of fun and a breeze for him to learn how to play. He enjoyed putting the animals in the barn, on his turns, and the small size of this game makes it simple to store and for him to carry around without any trouble. We didn't see much educational value in this game, for HIM in particular other than learning the basics of game play for the grown-up version of Uno. However, this is only because he is already well acquainted with his colors and which animals are which. For children still learning their colors and animals, I definitely think this game could help to do that in a fun way.
Review: A Great FIRST Game For a Toddler - I bought this as my two and a half year old's first board game, and it is GREAT for that purpose. The barn and the animals are fun - he likes to carry them around, take them out and play with them on their own. As a result of his interest in the different parts of the game, he has been excitedly asking to play this each day since we got it (about five days ago). He LOVES knocking down an animal into the barn and replacing it with his own. He's learning colors and matching (which he was already pretty good with), but more importantly, he's learning to take turns. That said, there are flaws with this game. It's hard to "hide" your animals from another player with the included materials unless you are all sitting around a table. My little guy and I usually plop down on the floor, so I don't even use the haystacks (also, they are made of cardboard, which my son is likely to destroy). If you are serious about the game, though, you can find ways to make it work. Using a folder - like the ones they sell in the school supplies aisle - would probably do the trick. Also, its very tempting to look at the animals when you are picking them out of the barn. Again, if you are playing the game seriously (and not just using it to help your child learn about colors, taking turns, etc), try putting the animals in a bag and reaching in to pick them out. That sounds like a lot of extra work to make a game work right, and it probably is. But, bottom line, my son really likes this. So, I feel like it was a good purchase overall. Pros: *Fun pieces that will hold the attention of little ones *Good way to improve matching skills and color recognition *Knocking the animals into the barn is a bit hit with my active little guy Cons: *Flimsy haystacks that don't really serve any purpose *Easy to "cheat" and pick animals that you want/need *Good first game, but probably won't hold the interest of a child who is experienced with board games.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Awesome fun for Little Ones
*by A***R on November 8, 2009*

We bought Uno Moo to play with our 3 year old. He loves the game and we love that we have finally found a game the entire family can play. He loves to Skunk people and make someone draw 2 balls. It's a great game and is helping him match colors and animals, He also likes to make the sound of the animal. As he grows older this game will be great to help him figure out strategy. One Caveat: Cardboard Haystacks. Who gives cardboard to 3 year olds and expect it to stay in shape. I was expecting a thin plastic where the balls could easily stand up. However, we love the plastic carrying case barn which makes it easy to take the game to Grandma's house on on plane rides. This game will also stay relevant as he gets older. Really glad someone is starting to make fun games for toddlers and preschoolers.
