I contacted AFP Power via email to ask about a replacement, they responded within a day that they had already taken the initiative to send a replacement prior to my email (which was unexpected and awesome). I mounted the panel using the provided brackets and and it is working perfectly. The charger charges the battery effectively and automatically stops charging when the battery is full (as expected). It also a second power out port (screw posts) which do protect the circuit from overloading the circuit - it shut down on me a couple of times when I was wiring the unit up because I shorted it out...but it recovered and worked great as advertised. I have a current meter now inserted from the panel to the charger device and unloaded I see around 21V on a sunny day and when it is loaded with the battery charging -- I see around 12V and 6A for my setup. This was during a semi-sunny fall day near Seattle so the sun wasn't intense enough to see max performance.
