It's not an inflated from recipients of paid free sample submissions.I've been wearing Vionic brand for almost 8+ years and can never go back to regular footwear, my back, hips, legs and feet won't tolerate it. The comfort, support, and style keep me coming back year after year. I've learned that the per-wearing cost is much lower than much less used footwear that sits in the closet because they're not comfortable enough to wear on a daily or regular basis. The Vionic platform styles to me are more impact absorbing than other soles, yet still provide stability and support needed whether standing or walking.I own Ellie in almost every color except the black w/black soles and navy with navy soles. I just don't think that much dark color would be flattering on my foot. All colors w/the natural soles are the perfect complement to summer straw and natural colored accessories.I not only own it in (almost)all the colors, but like another reviewer mentioned, have actively sought out extra spare pairs to keep on hand in case Vionic ever stops selling them. They're becoming more limited last I checked. The strap style of Ellie is comfortable and provides elongated foot coverage without looking chunky. The velcro adjustability works well as the leather gets stretched out from (literally daily) use, or when your foot swells.Final verdict: try them, you won't be sorry.Vionic, if you're reading this, please make more in the Ellie style. I have very bony, very high arches, it’s extremely difficult to find support and comfort that won’t cave under pressure and stay supportive. These proved everything was possible!!! I will admit when I first started wearing them, they were very hard, actually hurt a little because they were so firm. The directions said to try to wear them for a week or two and break them in. I was about ready to send them back but instead decided to just give it a rest for a few days. Then I put them back on. Wow!!! They actually started conforming with my feet, softening up, and now I want wear them everywhere!!! I am so IMPRESSED! I even showed them to my foot doctor and how they stay firm no matter how much you wear them. So, the moral of the story, don’t give up on them. If you have to stop wearing them for a couple days, go back to them. Eventually they will get softer and you will LOVE them. They have the firmness that you need for support, definitely a permanent arch support, and yeah it’s still attractive! I give this 110% thumbs up and plan to buy more in the future. It has taken me an extremely long time with so many different trials of shoes to FINALLY find something that works.
