I am a large woman and the straps do not fit around. I can just use it without the straps and it works well. I would say it stays pretty cold for quite a while, although I will wish it would stay cold a little longer even though my physical therapist said I should only keep it on for 20 minutes at a time. I’m very happy with the purchase.
