I have bought so many leather journals on Amazon, but these are by far the best!! I love these leather journals. They are perfect for note taking in University. I bought the brown one before the black, and it was perfect. The black one doesn't have the official stamp, and it doesn't look as nice as the brown one. I also received a notebook that was too small and kept falling out (which was Amazons mistake not the seller), but I contatced the seller and he kindly sent me a replacement. Overall, I recommend getting these journals. I love the fact that its refillable. Also, I don't have to worry about sprial notebooks coming apart before the quarter is even over. And these journals just look way better than your average notebook. I expected it to be gorgeous and it certainly is. It feels marvelous in my hands and the size is perfect. They packaged and protected it well for shipping. The leather is super soft, and the notebook is high-quality (I'm dumbfounded that another reviewer referred to it as just a regular notebook). I can't wait until my next meeting where I can show this off. I won't be like those other folks with their HUGE portfolios, that when they open them up they take up all of the space in front of them. I have the honey embossed one, and I'm thinking of ordering the brown embossed for a friend. If you're on the fence about this, GO FOR IT. You'll be so happy with your purchase. Now, I'm only mildly concerned about where I'll find a replacement notebook this size, but I'll contact the manufacturer to see if they can direct me (there's a small card inside the package with the website and contact info; [...]). Accepts liquid ink very well, with no bleeding or smudging once dry. I bought one for a gift and then turned around and bough one for myself.It might benefit from some old ball glove conditioner I have lying around.
