**Q: what is the life of this cord? will it rot?**
A: As already given in product details and images, you will not face rotting issues.

**Q: Any idea how much water consumption would be per day for each plant ?**
A: Hi Ravi. This could be estimated but isn't an exact number. If water is kept at higher level and output cord to planter at low levels, rate of transfer is as high as half litre / day because gravity pulls water with speed. If both planter and water level is almost same only wicking action is dominating and hence transfer rate depends on water level. At 0 inch it will be 300-400ml/day. At 1 in it will be 200-300 / day . At 4 inch empty reservoir, it will reduce to 100 ml / day. These values are approximate to give you an didea on how water flow is affected by 2 actors.

**Q: How is it better than normal cotton or jute wicks?**
A: Thr r 2 main differences. 1) Normal jute or cotton cord will not lift any water beyond 1-2 cm. Its a general misunderstanding that they can work too because it looks the same. We have specialised design which lifts all the way to 10-15cm if you leave it in vacation setup. 2) Cotton or jute will rot 40-50% & start stinking within a month in water and you will see black layer forming whereas our nivave design will survive for many years & reuse without degrading beyond 5-10%.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It actually works!!

I was not very hopeful about the practicality of this string, and it was way too expensive. However, given all the positive video reviews, I decided to give it a shot. My experimental setup (as shown in my video) did not work the first 2 days, and it was because I did not properly follow the instructions provided. Once rectified, it worked like a charm (refer my video). I will monitor the flow for a few days before actually applying to my plants. My next 9 days vacation is coming up in few days. Thanks Amazon!
