The stereo 'sound stage' is so accurate you swear the sound is coming out of your laptop's speakers in the center of the screen (but the sound is too good).The nice organic round design of them makes them attractive and stylish. You can tell the difference the tuned bass port makes, put your finger over the hole in the back and the bass goes down noticeably. Pretty good engineering.My one concern was that the volume was quite low, even with the volume all the way up. I searched Google for a while for a software solution, and the cheapest/easiest way to get huge sound out of them is to just download WinAMP. Since WinAMP has a preamp setting, you can make the speakers be quite a bit louder.The speakers are unpowered, so take that into account per your rocking-out needs.
