Ampersand is a brand of prepared boards that are ready to accept oil paints. I have some inexpensive canvas paper that I am playing with, but I think I'll spring for some Ampersand or Arches oil paper. Be sure to buy a 'blender' stick also, same manufacturer, but its without pigment, and used for blending, smoothing and building up areas.
