When I sat in it the straps slid down the tree about 6 inches. I have never experienced this issue with longer straps that lock tight around the tree. They are not bad straps, they are pretty durable and was actually kind of happy when I saw how much shorter they are than my other straps ( since they wouldn't hang to the ground and drag.) Unfortunatly the length of them combined with the loops being in a bad spot for my tree, it compromises the straps ability to stay tight.
