The switch on the side is not very robust, but it does work. Review: I keep visiting many clients and did't want my drive to get corrupted by virus in their PCs. This is ideal. One issue is that the write-protect switch, which is projecting a little above the casing, can slide into write-enable position accidentally while inserting the drive in the USB slot. I have trimmed the switch slide height the same level as the case to avoid this. Now I have to use a ball pen tip to slide the switch - which is ok for me. Nothing can be deleted, not even McAfee can erase a single file once the write protect switch is on. It's bookable, great for a diagnostic tool. That's why I bought this one.
