Upon unsealing it and inspection the diameter of the filament was as consistent as it should be, although if you run your finger along a long strand of it, it isnt very straight, and that was a little concerning. When loading the filament, (flashforge Creator Pro) it seemed that the filament was coming out significantly thicker than ordinary PLA. I continued on to a print and it seemed to be printing fine, although it seems a bit gooier and stickier than other PLA. When the print completed, it was fused to the bed far stronger than any other material i have printed with. Upon removal, the bottom layers stayed fused to the bed and the rest of the print ripped off. In terms of finish consistency it was not nearly as good as a PLA print, however the layer to layer adhesion seemed to be better, other than where it ripped off. Through more testing, I havent been able to get a good consistent print out of it, and I think it has to do with the extrusion multiplier as well as the temperature. I imagine that once I dial these in, it will print better. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 4.0 out of 5 stars Good for standard resolution printing *by D***D on Reviewed in the United States on February 28, 2016* The MeltInk PLA/PHA blend is a good USA manufactured alternative to the Norwegian made ColorFabb. It extrudes very smoothly and the color and finish on the final prints is excellent. You will notice that it comes out of the extrude in a very thick fat strand. This doesn't seem to be a problem if you are printing in thicker layers such as 300 microns. The problem comes when trying to print this material in high resolution. It doesn't work. Printing in 100 micron layers is impossible as it just spits out in clumps rather than forming a nice smooth layer.This filament works great for printing large objects in low resolution and I like this cool grey color.. Unfortunately it cannot be used for very fine, high resolution prints. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Pretty good improved PLA *by A***S on Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2016* I was interested in the PLA/PHA filament after I had read that it exhibited better strength/flexibility characteristics than standard PLA and I was also looking for an alternative to the ColorFabb PLA/PHA filament - both in terms of cost and I had read that it could be a bit difficult to work with. This looked like it would work, based on others reviews so I figured I would give it a try. I have printed a couple items thus far - I have my print temp set to 230C and have had good luck. It can clump slightly, but nothing that a little light sanding/cutting cannot fix for very fine detail. However, overall dimensions/warping appear not to be an issue. I am very happy with it's performance. The strength lives up to my expectations thus far as it seems less brittle - exhibiting yielding versus fracture (which is what I was looking for).
