I have had hypothyroidism since I was 8 (30 now) and the medication apparently depletes your bones. My doctor has told me to take 1000 IU of Vitamin D because of this. My grandmother had always preached to me how important it is to take care of my bones, the sooner the better, because it could be too late when I'm older with bone density problems. So I've took on the life test of caring for my bones by taking a Calcium and Magnesium supplement with Vitamin D. You may already know, if you are looking for a Calcium product with Magnesium in it, that it is essential to take Magnesium for your body to utilize the Calcium properly. What I like about that is; since I've been taking Calcium with the Magnesium, I've been regular (if you know what I mean) ;) everyday. In the past I've been rather constipated. I feel healthier and I haven't had any type of weight gain issues and I strongly feel it is due to taking a Calcium and Magnesium supplement every night. Like I've said, I've tried many different Calcium and Magnesium products, and they all treated me slightly different.
