Does this?** A: No, no screws or anything to attach to the toilet. This one is completely free-standing. BUT, a better measurement front to back is how far it is from the back to where your hand safely grips the hand holds - 14 inches at most. Our toilet seat is at 17 inches from the floor. **Q: What is the max pounds for support** A: On the Carex.com website it says wt. capacity is 300. I'm assuming that's pounds. Doesn't say anywhere on the box it came in or the instructions for assembly. For someone w/balance issues or can use only one arm; it is a little wiggly, yet stable since there are 4 legs... Like a walker w/out wheels.
