I use them to cut pork, beef and chicken. I even used them to cut shank!! They saved me time and did all the hard work for me. As to the slippery issue, it never happens to me after I did this: I placed them on top of a piece of paper on the door of my refrigerator, and they stayed where I put them. Yep. Just like that. The magnet on the sheath sticks very well so they don't fall down at a bump, the magnetic hinge comes apart for cleaning easily but won't just let go when the scissors are in use, they're sharp and the curve to them helps with getting at what you're cutting.
