1:250 Scale – Lockheed C-130 Hercules - Royal Air Force – Length: 4.75" Wingspan: 6.25” This C-130 model is made of a combination of metal and plastic parts. The landing gear is fixed in the extended position and a display stand is included. The propeller do not spin, they are glued in place. The maker of the model really did a good job with the model, the panel lines and details are very crisp and one can see the little dots that represent the rivets holding down the panels. The packaging of these models is very nice, it comes in a rectangular styrofoam pack. The pack in turn, goes inside a full color cardboard sleeve. The pack measures 8 inches by 8 inches by 3 inches. This is really a "no-play" model or a "display-only" model. It is mostly metal and very heavy. It also has a number of antennas which look great but are very fragile. If you have small kids that like to play with your models, save yourself some frustration (and money) and wait till later to get a model like this one. The box is labeled as not suitable for children under 14.
