I had to wear it without the padded attachment but just having that flat edge sat under my headphones was 100% relief as someone who's head gets sensitive/painful and it exacerbates symptoms due to having ME/CFS when wearing headphones, it means I can happily wear them without thinking of the discomfort it's going to cause to wear them. If I add the padded attachment it adds more weight to the headphones and again cause more pain so it's perfect just with the zipped on cover. Over time I've gradually been able to wear it without now but I know I've got it for when it happens again. Easy to attach, really comfy and a few options to wear it, not expensive but a quick fix.
