You would not want to put this on a radiator hose as it would trap heat and not allow the radiator hose to radiate and dissipate heat properly. If the hose is not carrying hot water but merely used as a drain hose, then this is fine. This it meant to protect from radiant heat but also retains heat internally which could cause your rubber hose to fail prematurely and due to being obscured by the wrap you could not inspect the hose for sponginess, cracking or impending failure.
