But I left it in for now. I shoved an aquaclear (20/30) bio media bag in it and it just fit. Of course that media goes in a much larger filter so even if I removed half of it. And used filter floss with it. It would work great. For now just the media is working for me and it's quiet with great flow. It says it will work up to 7 gal. An I'm sure it would. This filter is 110V and there's no way to adjust it to 240V for England. We wouldn't recommend running this filter with a power converter, so your best bet may be to stop by your favorite local aquarium store to purchase your filter. **Q: I always buy the replacement carbon filters but where are the 2 black replacement foam sponge filters?** A: When I buy these filters I throw away the black foam.I used the white filter fiber works so much better..and gets your water clean and clear faster.. **Q: I have a 56 gallon tall tank and need a filter that works well in this type. Will this model work well in the tall tank type?** A: I think you will be happy with this filter. I am using one in my 200 gal fish tank I like it because 1. it is a good filter 2. It keeps the water oxygenated.
