This item's descriptive data is currently all messed up. I reported it to Amazon several days ago and it remains a disaster. This item is supposed to be a Taylor R-0004 reagent in the 2 oz size (a.k.a. R-0004-C). There is no "2.75 oz" size available and this is NOT a DPD reagent. it is a pH Reagent. **Q: Can this be used to test drinking water?** A: This reagent is for use with a Taylor test kit, such as the K-2006 FAS-DPD chlorine test kit. If you have one of those, or at least the pH comparator tube (the one with the colored windows to compare the color of the test water to), then yes, you can then use this reagent to find the pH of drinking water (if it's between 7.0-8.0). I have returned the product to Amazon for a refund.
