The panels fit perfectly in that dimension. Needed to measure and cut the height dimension. This needed to be more accurate than I did for the first unit I fixed. There was a slight gap that I fixed by using foam tape in the track. **Q: Does this insert work with your window unit being off center?** A: Yes. These are just the accordian louvers on the sides that fit into the original frames of your ac.
