The floral design is so intricate and beautiful, but it isn't busy looking at all. All pieces are finished with stunning platinum and 24 karat gold accents. I've honestly never really wanted to invest in china, but Westmore is so pretty I've actually bought a few sets (on sale) and am continuing to collect pieces in this pattern. I decided the Westmore pattern is perfect for my lifestyle because it's incredibly pretty, but it has a less formal and more contemporary light and airy look than more traditional patterns. I also love that this pattern is versatile- it's suitable for an elegant dinner party, or for a nice Sunday brunch. And while this pattern looks lovely in the china cabinet, I'm practical and like to enjoy my nice things. This design is not so fancy that I feel it can only be used to entertain- instead, we also love using it just to brighten up a regular mid-week meal or a weekend breakfast. My everyday dishes will probably be around awhile longer, but my plan is to eventually collect enough Westmore to phase out my everyday dishes. I'm really pleased these are dishwasher safe and made in the USA. I really think this set looks much prettier in person. I've already purchased a few sets for myself, so it's clear I think this is awesome china and highly recommend it. I do suggest checking for defects and breakage upon arrival. **Q: Are these factory seconds? Just received mine and some have blue or red marks on bottom.**
A: I bought 6 dinner plates directly from lenox.com and all have red markings at the bottom.

If you watch their video on YouTube, it was mentioned that blue/red marks are inspection marks.

**Q: Can the plates be warmed up in the oven?**
A: Better to use a plate warmer, about $45 for one that warms 4 plates. Likely less expensive over time than heating an oven.

**Q: If I purchase two or four sets as a whole of gift to one person, can the seller pack all of the items into one box and deliver to one address?**
A: This would depend on the seller. Lenox packs these 5 piece place settings in a gift box which also protects the pieces in shipping.

**Q: Is this just service for 1?**
A: Yes. The five piece set us a one person setting. However we were also able to locate specific pieces to buy individually. It's a very nice set and it's what we ate our first meal off of as husband and wife at our wedding
