Also keep the smoke cooler. Review: With well in medico and savinelli pipes - I bought these as an inexpensive charcoal option for some of my pipes. Although shorter than the savinelli ones, they do fit in my two Rossi pipes. Just leave them out of the stem enough to be able to remove them. Since they are shorter they can sometimes go too far into the stem and be difficult to remove. They also fit and work very well in my medico and other vintage pipes. The paper gets really soft after one use so I replaced after each use. You might be able to remove and dry them then use again but I haven’t tried that. If used more than once, they can absorb too much moisture, expand and be hard to impossible to remove from the pipe without the filter breaking inside the pipe stem. Use them once and enjoy them, then replace.
