This guide helps even the playing field and makes fights more interesting. This book is a sequel that covers monsters from outside of the Monster Manual. If you have the extra cash, I'd definitely recommend buying both this book and the original. Plus, if you're on the fence, you can get a taste of the books at the authors blog; many of the monster tactics found in this book and the original can be found there for free!
