Jokes on me though, he loves them and so does the rest of my family.These things are incredibly versatile, given that they're both waterproof and nonslip. We use them (occasionally) as trivets for hot (but not incredibly hot) dishes, often to keep things from sliding on the glass coffee table, and everywhere as coasters. And in case of dirt, they just get washed off in the sink with everything else. My mom has 'removed' all the old coasters at this point. There's no going back.One thing to note- I don't know why, given the description, but I still expected these to be hard/stiff coasters, mimicking actual floppy discs. They aren't. They're soft silicone. Emphasis on soft. Not jello like, but definitely going to actually flop.
