I have similar ones (one with polar bears, icebergs and whales) and a mermaid version. This is the easiest one by far. I like that it has a lot of strategies to help a child problem solve and learn how to play, but then it never gets particularly challenging. The polar bear one is much more challenging, but does not have the same step by step support that this game has. I would say this one is probably good for ages 6-10, where the polar bear one might be from 9ish -100. **Q: Can this be played by more than one child?** A: Hello - Ghost Hunters is a one-player game, not designed to be played "head to head." However there are two ways to play together. First you can solve challenges together, collaboratively (think of solving a jigsaw puzzle together). Second, if you really have the competitive spirit...you can use timer to see who solves challenges the fastest! **Q: What type of batteries does this use and are they included?** A: No batteries required! **Q: What is the size ?** A: it's the same size as other games/puzzles in this series - 6" by 6". Our 5 1/2 year old can do all of the puzzle cards by himself if he tries, but it's still fun to do them as a 'ghost hunter team', we just take turns each placing a tile where we think it should go. The first few puzzle cards have some hints to help younger players know where to place tiles, then the hints lessen as you get higher up in the card numbers, and the last few have none making those cards the trickiest. And no matter how many times you play you never remember the correct tile combination on any particular card, so it's always like playing a new game. It really is an awesome alternative to screen time. And just a tip- the puzzle cards do all fit in the hardcase for storage while the tiles sit neatly on top, and there is a clear plastic 'lid' that goes over the top of the whole thing- however, the clear top doesn't click on to the hardcase so we just put a thick rubber band over the whole thing, and it keeps it all together and makes it perfect for tossing in a travel bag or keeping in the backseat for the kiddos. Still highly recommend this game, and any others by this brand! We've had this for one day, and it's already a favorite! Our 4yr old did the first 12 puzzles on his own, and then we did the next 8 or so together. There are over 50 puzzles, and they're all fun & engaging. Kids can work on them on their own, or you can do them as a family. All the puzzle cards fit inside their own little hardcase (which is perfect for travel), and the tiles sit on top. It's such a simple game, yet so strategic & fun!
