Very simple to put together. You just have to cut the sides to match the pitch oh the roof. Note that if u want a weather vane, you will have to mount it to the roof of the cupola **Q: Does this include all the necessary building material, except the shingles? What is the siding material and corner trim pieces made of? Color?** A: It includes everything you need except the shingles. I forget what the siding is made of exactly, there is some osb and wood 1x1s, 1/2 x 1s in it from what I remember. All of the pieces come precut except for the two sections were you need the roof angle. It took me 2 - 3 hours to assemble plus the paint time. I painted mine, inside and out , and sealed all of the joints with caulking in order to keep the water out. Arrived quickly, carpenters had it assembled in an hour (average homeowner probably going to take 2-3 hours to assemble this).
