While you could use the magnetic keyboard, it may be slightly lifted and the ipad may not fit snuggly on the stand. I highly recommend getting this stand! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Much better than expected *by J***E on April 8, 2025* Before I got this, I thought this was going to be a cheap stand, similar to most others. It's not cheap feeling at all, it's very good. The position lock is made with metal gears. The stand itself is mostly cast metal, too, probably an aluminum alloy. Even the little position adjustment lever is metal, and everything is pinned together with metal screws. Entirely unnecessary, but very appreciated. Most of the surface of the stand is plastic, but it's still sturdy so it's fine. It's also very solid on the table. It doesn't move at all while writing because it has a large rubber pad under the front lip, and there are two rubber pads on the feet of the stand. My only complaint is it doesn't go as low as I wanted, but that was also stated in the product images so I don't care that much. It will fold pretty close to flat, but then the front lip will rise and it begins to slide around and it's not very solid, so it's not very usable like that. If I cared to, I can use a book or something to prop up the very edge, but I don't really care to because it's not a big deal.
