I have 2 sharks and a few stingrays in mine **Q: Do i have to have a different pump to make it saltwater** A: you use both the pump that comes with the pool and a saltwater pump that you have to purchase or acquire separately. the water goes through the pool pump first and then into the saltwater pump then back into the pool. The pool pump has to be on when the saltwater system is on. The saltwater system has a timer on it. You set the timer to run so many hours depending on the size of your pool. A 15' by 42" pool, the saltwater should be set for 3hours, usually after the sun sets so the chlorine will stay in the water longer. The saltwater pump will come on everyday at the same time. It only needs reset if for some reason it gets shut off.When the saltwater pump is not making chlorine the water simply flows through it and into the pool. My saltwater pump lasted about 9 years and it left the water crystal clear. Had to put 100 pounds of pool salt in at beginning of each season. Make sure the pool pump has been running about 1 day before setting the timer on saltwater pump. I always ran the pool pump 24/7. No problem with pool pump either. Just change filters about every few weeks. **Q: Does it come with the hoses for the pump? My husband spent hours making sure everything was perfect, got everything together, only to find out it’s split at the seam! No water even in it yet. It’s way too much work to put up, much less take it all back down so we’ll just put flex seal on it and know better next time. So disappointed! Should’ve went with what we had before, bestway! Edit to add…started filling it and halfway up there was a pinhole! Last update…Jeremy in customer service contacted me and asked what can he do to make it right. He then refunded me a percentage and sent a replacement liner which I have already received. I really appreciate him reaching out and fixing this issue.
