Typically, I have noted a duty cycle of approximately 50% on a warm day ( 75 degrees F. or 23.9 C.) with the device set at the '3' setting (yields +10 degrees F. or -17.5 degrees C.) which would mean a wattage of 15 watts. Using the machine at a lower setting (as a fridge for example, instead of a freezer) would yield a lower wattage. Obviously, outside temperature affects the duty cycle of any fridge/freezer. **Q: Are these latches still the lightweight plastic that seem to be the recipient of many complaints?
