I have the 8" model and as a 5' 10" archer with 29" draw length, it is almost too large for me. You should be looking for something like half this size or smaller for a small child. **Q: I notice a lot of bracers/guards protect the hand as well, will my bow hand need protection from fletching using a trad? Or is that more for looks?** A: I can’t think of any reason why your hand would need protection. But certainly your forearm.
