I use them as a seat when playing keyboards at gigs and jams. I have to replace them because of being lost or drifting away, plus I lost two in a house fire. In all that time, only one of them collapsed, when a friend was playing my keyboards at a jam. He was having such a good time he didn't even notice, which I frankly don't understand but he was surprised when I pointed it out. I think he may have been a bit rowdy. ;-) I weigh 180 lbs, and both sit and lean on the stool as I play, standing for some parts, sitting for others, shifting around quite a bit, and also lifting it and sliding to play higher or lower parts on the keyboard.
