But when I bought more, I found the brightness and build quality was very disappointing. All those went back. I still wanted more small 9V lights though, and when I read the reviews for these MicroBrites, I decided to take a chance. I was not disappointed! They are GREAT - just as bright as my original BlockLites, and the switches have a positive click. I've never had one turn on accidentally in my pocket, either. The only weird thing is they would not clip on to the supplied 9V heavy-duty batteries, but no matter - I have a bunch of 9V alkalines and prefer those anyway. Pro tip: a single wrap of electrical tape linking the MicroBrite (below the switch) to the battery will keep it all together more securely in the purse, backpack or pocket. I carry one in my pocket all the time now. It's an essential for reading tiny print with old eyes! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Genius! But the B&H batteries were nearly dead on arrival. *by B***S on March 30, 2021* I had to buy a new pack of Duracells to attach before I gave these as gifts or stashed in packs or glove boxes, but they are so handy to have that I’ll forgive it. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A bright idea! *by K***L on February 11, 2019* Ever wonder what to do with all those expensive 9 volt batteries after replacing them in the smoke detectors? Here's your answer. Used as a night light, this light will brighten a whole room, and can be left on all night, every night. It uses very little charge, and when it eventually dims, change batteries and come back later to the one that dimmed, as it will regroup its charge. Small enough to fit in almost any pocket, even a key pocket.Bright enough to read by, but not recommended as your best choice for that.
