## Description

Product description Control, unplugged Too many wires in your studio? Are they literally holding you back from the freedom of different configurations and setups? KORG, creators of the best-selling microKEY series and the next-gen microKEY2 series can help you break free with the new microKEY Air series of wireless MIDI controllers! Oh, and with an average of one hour of use per day, the batteries allow approximately one month of operation. And best of all, the microKEY Air runs on just two AA batteries! Connect wirelessly to iPad, iPhone, Mac, or Windows The microKEY Air supports Bluetooth Smart “Apple Bluetooth Low Energy MIDI”. You can easily connect wirelessly to iPad/iPhone music apps such as KORG Gadget, KORG Module, and GarageBand, as well as any MIDI-capable music production software on your Mac or Windows. Painstaking tuning of the Bluetooth capabilities means high stability and low latency, no strings – or wires – attached. Compact and playable Natural Touch Mini Keyboard KORG’s Natural Touch mini keyboard has been carefully designed to assure playability while staying compact, and makes it easy to play chords or rapid phrases. Choose between 25, 37, 49 or 61-key configurations to suit your specific playing style and space/travel requirements. Connect a pedal, and enjoy full control functionality The 37, 49, and 61-key models provide an assignable switch jack for connecting a damper pedal. The 25-key model provides a sustain button that implements the damper function. On all models, you can use the octave buttons in conjunction with the key transpose function to play MIDI's entire range of notes. The 37, 49, and 61-key models provide pitch bend and modulation wheels. Bluetooth MIDI Connect for Mac The dedicated utility "Bluetooth MIDI Connect for Mac" allows fast and simple wireless connection between your Mac and KORG Bluetooth enabled keyboard (such as the nanoSTUDIO series and microKEY Air). Bluetooth MIDI Connect for iOS "Bluetooth MIDI Connect" allows you to wirelessly connect your iPhone/iPad and KORG Bluetooth enabled keyboard (such as the nanoSTUDIO series and microKEY Air) even when using an app that does not support Bluetooth MIDI. This enables wireless connection for any app that supports Core MIDI. Technical Specifications

Review: Well-Built and awesome! - This micro key air is the best-built, feature-filled portable controller I've ever used! It's a little bigger than I was expecting, but the keys have good action, it's built solid, and the joystick is nicer than the one on my workstation! The main selling point for me was the Bluetooth capability. I needed a portable keyboard to use with my Korg Gadget software (running on my iPhone) and this pairs instantly and there's almost zero latency. Unexpectedly, the micro key air also comes with a usb cord and can be used as a portable keyboard for my laptop DAW. I'd definitely recommend this, and am considering buying a few more for Christmas gifts. Pros: Great responsive keys Well-built joystick More sturdy build than many other options Connects to Bluetooth quickly Can be used as a tethered usb controller Cons: Slightly bigger than expected; is an inch too wide for my laptop bag (when also carrying my laptop and charger).
Review: Amazing little keyboard!!! - It’s perfect for travel, it’s very lightweight and fits perfectly in my backpack. I use it mostly to write scores on my iPad using Dórico. For that type of use, the two octave size is enough. If you want to use for recordings and want to play with both hands I suggest a larger version with 3 or 4 octaves. But if you are recording a single line with one hand and want something more portable it works great. The key size is small and narrow but it’s just wide enough to fit my big hands without pressing two notes at the same time. The weight of the keys is good. They don’t feel flimsy like other portable keyboards and are silent when pressed and released (unless of course you slam your fingers on them) but under normal circumstances they are silent. With the Bluetooth MIDI Connect app by Korg connecting the keyboard to my iPad and MacBook Pro is a breeze, just open the app turn on the micro key air and select it on the app. After you’ve done that the first time you don’t even have to open the app you just turn on the keyboard and automatically connects. You do have to download the app to connect it, because the midi keyboard won’t appear under the normal Bluetooth settings. In terms of latency, I haven’t noticed any. Considering the good build quality and portability, I find it to be a good value for the money and I highly recommend it.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great feather light bluetooth battery powere keyboard with legitimately useful software.
*by C***Z on February 19, 2019*

For what it is, it’s really great. It’s unbelievably light, plastic but the main body of it still has a sturdy feel. Doesn’t feel hollow and there isn’t much “extra space”. You can tell they took time into trying to only give you what you need but in a good way. Design and aesthetics don’t have a wow factor but the thing has ble midi and can be battery powered so you can connect to your tablet or computer without wires! The speed and stability of the ble midi connection is indistinguishable from a wired connection *for the most part* (a few variables like devices around you tx/rx on the same spectrum causing interference, your computers drivers, batteries being low etc will affect your connection but these are things you’ll encounter maybe like 1 or 2 out of 20 uses) it’s quick to connect, shows up in your daw like any other controller and it just works: and well. Keys are short and super light so they take a bit to get used to (a few moments at most) it’s obviously not meant for any virtuoso players. Great midi keyboard that’s small, light as a feather, and Bluetooth compatible. And cheap enough to not be set back significantly if it’s damaged or something Software is amazing and actually is a generous offering. I love korg!
