The rose scent of the soap is fresh and light, and derived from genuine botanicals. I also purchased the Rose Scented Lotion, which goes on like silk with no stickiness, moisturizing wonderfully. Used together, one emerges from the bath or shower feeling like Spring and literally smelling like a rose. If you are a woman seeking the comforts of fresh as a daisy (or rather rose) cleanliness at the end of a long day before slipping into bed for a dreamy night's sleep, purchase the soap and/or the lotion or oil.
