Bought this as I usually purchase it's a ten but it's quite pricey. I love the fact that this smells like bananas it's so delicious, and I actually used this more like a hair mask than leave in conditioner and it's worked fantastic. I brought this on vacation with me and I am so glad I did as I swim in salt water and had sand from the beach, and without it my hair would've been an absolute mess, this used in the shower completely got out my knots and left my hair feeling so smooth, tangle free and smelled absolutely delicious. I did not experience any greasy residue, but that being said I did not use it as a regular leave in conditioner and use it as a hair mask. I used a little bit of it at the end of my hair when my hair was still damp and it seemed to have no problem. I absolutely love the smell and I have used so much of it that I'm already almost all empty and I'm seriously considering getting another. I would get it again just for the smell alone plus the bottle is so cute.

I’m a curly girl and have been using Umberto’s products for about 4 years now. Love this shampoo, it’s free of all the bad stuff yet cleans really well. I co-wash also, but when I need to feel a ‘shampoo clean’, this is my go-to. Leaves my hair feeling moisturized, never dry. I just got a shorter bob, cut at my chin, and for the first time in about 7 years, I straightened my hair using a round brush and blow dryer. It was after washing with the banana shampoo and my hair was SO SHINY!! Love the banana scent!! I also use his conditioner for curly hair in the pink tube. Great product, give it a try—it’s a really good price too!

I gave this 4 stars because it wasn’t full and it does have a bit of a strong artificial banana smell. Like its not a bad banana smell it’s like fake banana candy if that even make sense lol. It has a custard like texture but does feel buttery. I felt it would be a little to thick for my hair so I put a little bit with water in a spray bottle to make more of a smoothie leave in. My hair soaked this right up it makes my hair feel soft without weighing it down. My hair is not oily after using it. I may try it without mixing it and post an update.

My daughter has thick and long ringlet curls and we have been on a mission to find good products for her hair which can get very dry and frizzy. This leave in is amazing!! It smells so yummy and it leaves her hair silky soft. A small amount goes a long way. It doesn’t cause build up and I am able to oil her hair along with it. Great product overall.

My wife has really curly hair and heard about this on tik tok, so obviously she had to have it. She said it works well and feels great in her hair, but the smell is glorious!!

This is not a good product for fine, straight hair! It left a weird film on my hair. Smells wonderful but was not a good replacement for the Body Shop’s banana shampoo which works amazing on my fine hair. Sadly, The Body Shop has shut down in the USA and I was hoping this could be a good replacement. Might be great in thicker or curly hair

I like the thickness, hate the tubes. Smell is OK.. think of a banana taffy taffy or banana runtz. Decent, but nothing special. Won't repurchase.

I love the smell of sun tan lotion - in particular, the smell of Banana Boat sun tan lotion from the past. After searching long and hard for many products, I found this shampoo and conditioner to help with the effort in layering myself with that scent. I have bought this product several times, and it is excellent. I once had an incident where Fed Ex damaged the product in the delivery process, and I had to contact the seller. The seller was kind, understanding, quick to respond, and handled the situation immediately. I wish Umberto Giannini had created a banana-scented body wash and body lotion. I cannot find any good ones. In addition for anyone who may be interested, I can report that Comptoir Sud Pacifique perfume scent, "VANILLE BANANE" smells very close to the Banana Boat sun tan lotion.
