And I will admit, that was nice. But it seems like all the r&d went to that and that alone. I purchased this in February. And since then, I have only dropped it twice, and now it does not charge the phone, essentially making it worthless. I liked the fact that they put a external USB port on the phone, but the placement of it creates problems. First it's awkward to use while charging. Second, the first time I dropped it landed on the corner and of course, it was that corner. It cracked the case and smashed the USB port. I thought it was a goner than. However, I was able to carefully bend it back to shape with some small tools. The case is a little bulky, but not horrible. The earphone extension is annoying. You have to either carry the jack extension with you everywhere or take the case apart to use the jack.
