(I am a teacher, so...) the box comes with two of the same filters (as your air puifier requires two, one on each side.) The helps and carbon filters are all in one. So, the “box” containing two filters will replace the consumable (throw away) filters. The other filters are the screen filters which you vacuume/wash 2-4 weeks depending on your use and air particles in your environment. I have had my Air Mega for over a year. The replaceable box of two filters has been changed at 9 months, but I have four dogs and a small house which the air gets circulated quite often. I also run mine on high all day and “smart” at night. If you have another question post it and I’ll get back with you. Anyways, when I ordered this filter I was happy to see that the quality was just as good as the first and the price was much nicer than what I could find elsewhere online. It has now been almost a year since I bought the replacement filter and it's still chugging along so good to know I won't have to replace them every 6 months!! The airmega has been a life saver (less allergies and dust)!
