It is the only 1/24th scale replica out there in circulation that looks accurate. It's a snap together so it goes together in about 20 minutes or so, with no moving parts other than the rolling wheels. The rims are sprayed in silver and look really nice pressed into the black rubber low profile tires.The wheels do have strong metal axles. There is an embossed engine profile under the rear glass. If you're looking for a replica similar to the old style dealership plastic demos that they handed out in the 50s and 60s, this is the ticket! The quality of the kit is excellent. I used single edge razor to clean the flashing off the plastic parts before snapping them together, not really necessary, but I'm a perfectionist with this kind of stuff. The 2017 GT is truly an amazing Super Car that will go down in the racing history books for sure! I just had to have one to display on my desk at work and this kit works great for just that! When they release the decked-out Racing version, I'll be buying that kit too. This was not designed as a "modeler's" kit, so don't expect a lot of detail, but it did have more detail than I expected (can't believe they actually had the buttresses in the body, I thought for sure this would be solid plastic!!!) I had planned to paint this model, but once I received it, I nixed that idea but for painting the interior and the engine (interior is not that visible anyway). The body is molded in the appropriate color and requires no painting (purists might note that the "glitter" in the metallic finish is perhaps too large for this scale). No detail on the undercarriage whatsoever. This model was designed for a child to put together and play with, though some parts, such as the axles and rear-view mirrors may require adult strength and dexterity. Mirrors are made of a softer plastic (think army men) than the rest of the model so they likely won't break easily but will bend. The body is relatively thick, and not the flimsy plastic that Revell uses for airplanes. I'm quite pleased with this purchase.
