    Easy to install / remove

*by S***X on Reviewed in the United States on July 31, 2014*

Works exactly as it should. Easy to install / remove. One advantage of this design over the cheaper S/S screen but no outer ring design ones, is that it comes out of the AeroPress easily after use. The screen only ones (that I have) do not come out easily. You need to leave them in place and just rinse it the best you can with it still in the AeroPress piece. They are so difficult to remove, that I worry I will damage them after multiple installation / removal cycles.I like being able to easily remove the filter and rinse everything more thoroughly. So, if the ease of installation / removal matters to you, this one is worth the bit higher price. Works great.

A piece of junk but a great Frizzbee!!

*by C***S on Reviewed in the United States on June 5, 2014*

I bought my Aeropress Coffee Maker about a month ago and I loveit. Its a 6 star product. Besides making a great cup of coffee it is extremely easy to use and especially to clean after you use it. I use the " inverted " method to make coffee and follow the instructions on You Tube closely.I've been using paper filters without a problem but the You Tube Video suggests an even better cup of coffee by using a stainless reusable filter, hence this piece of junk.First of all it doesn't fit at all easily. Its too thick. I followed the instructions that came with it and tried loosening up the filter holder by using several layers of paper filters. After some really tough twisting and finger hurting, I got the thing on the Aeropress, just barely and made a cup of coffee. I thought that things would continue to get better the more u used the filter but they didn,'t. After fighting with this thing for several cups I burned my fingers trying to get it on.The second and not nearly as important problem is that it made the Aero Press more difficult to clean. When u remove the filter holder the coffee spills all over instead of staying in the press so you can just place it over the drain and push on the plungerThey send a brief instruction page with the filter and suggest that if all else fails you can call them and they'll give you some further tips on securing the filter to the Aero Press. I don't have time to fool around with them. If they have something to add why not just incule it with the instructions. Paper is cheap, time isn'tI do want you to know that the filter does make a great frizzbee. Made it over my neighbors house on the first try.I don't know if the other brands of filters are better but this is a definite "don't buy"

    Works Great After Slight Modification

*by L***P on Reviewed in the United States on August 27, 2014*

I've been using this disk for a couple weeks now and it works great..... now. When I first bought this filter IT DID NOT FIT in the aeropress. The stainless rim was a bit too thick for the aeropress cap to fit over it and still be able to screw on.This wasn't going to stop me from using it though because the build quality and the mesh screen seemed really good.So here's what I did:Got a small pot and brought 3 inches of water to a rolling boil. I then stuck the outer shell of the aeropress in the boiling water for about 3 minutes. After that I pulled it out of the water, put this filter in and screwed the black cap on. The water heated the aeropress up enough to where the cap would screw on easily. After screwing the cap on I placed the entire thing in cold water for awhile. When it completely cooled the lid fit perfectly around the filter. No problems.Makes a great cup of coffee.
