The upper chamber pipe’s spout will emit a burbling sound. Gingerly lift the lid and you will see the coffee coming up. When it is done burbling up and the upper chamber is filled, turn off flame and serve. With this special edition alpina, I would advise not to use it. Keep it as a special keepsake on display in the credenza. Be practical and buy a regular 6 cup moka for daily use. - you get your money’s worth time and again and you do not have to worry of any wear and tear on your alpina model. This is what I do. And if you have company get an 8 cup model. I use my 6 cup moka every day. My alpina stays pristine in on display in my credenza.
