From the very first knife achieved sharpness I have not achieved with any other method. It is simple but very effective. My next consideration will be to buy a kangaroo strop and go for a mirror finish. Although I don’t really think this is needed for the use I put my knives to in the kitchen as they cut everything beautifully already just with using four diamonds that came with a KME system. This system wouldn't be able to get down to a low enough angle for most straight razors. If you are looking at guided systems the Edge Pro and Wicked Edge systems will do straight razors.
