I know the springs are loaded and can be dangerous but I did not feel like these compressors were ever over loaded, but if I were trying to use these on truck or large car struts, these might not do well, I think they might bend and/or not be large enough. Otherwise, if you have a small to medium car these will do the job. Be sure to go slow and tighten each side a little at a time back and forth evenly as possible. I used my air lug gun carefully and slowly. It does not take much to relieve the pressure from the strut, you should not tighten them as far as they will go but maybe a little less than half way. Strut came apart easily after being compressed. If you are doing an Si like mine be sure to buy the replacement strut dust boot from Honda or one designed exactly the same as OEM that attaches to the spring and acts as the rubber seat for the spring against the strut top or it will not work. Be sure to seat the dust boot correctly once it is attached to the spring. My old dust boots had come completely apart except for the actual rubber spring seat and the boots I bought were not the right ones so I was forced to use the old rubber seat with the rotted boot cut loose and the new boot pushed through the old rubber spring seat and over the strut rod. It works but I wish I had bought the OEM boot replacements from Honda and didn't have to rig it. Over all, good for small to medium struts, otherwise take them to a shop or find bigger compressors if you have a truck or large car. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Solid, gentle fit to the springs, safety pins are welcome additions. *by A***. on November 28, 2022* Springs are sensitive to nicks or damage. These tools have rounded edges and are gentle to the springs. I greased the threads and used an impact gun to drive the tool. No concerns, worked without concern of the two struts I rebuilt. Glad to have the tool, and happy to keep them in my specialty tool drawer for future strut jobs. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ this is a quality product *by R***T on October 14, 2021* The low cost made it possible for me to put the cash towards better suspension components. My efforts won't be repeated again to redo entry level shocks and struts. Start off by adding lubricant the threads and double check your placement of the tool when I did it made it work flawlessly . The only detriment was no hardcase. It was sold as if it was meant for a tool chest.
