The iron is shot but I needed to iron a shirt immediately. I covered my top with the pressing pad, figuring I would need to replace it as well. But DID NOT STICK to the pad.I have also used this with silk and a synthetic top that needs high heat but burns on my iron - always no issues.If I had my coffee before ironing, I would have used it with the black poly- something and saved the money I need to use on a new iron:/If I could give it six stars I would - oh, it is also pretty large for a pressing pad. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ How did I go so long without this? *by D***R on Reviewed in the United States on October 23, 2015* This is a great product. I cannot believe I just found this ! I used to use towels over my clothes or something, but this is wonderful. You can now iron those difficult fabrics and the iron never touches the fabric. I put this over my rayon type sport shirts, put my iron on steam, and then run the iron over the top of this. Voila ! I have a nicely ironed shirt that cannot take the sole plate of a hot iron.
