The reviews have me a bit confused about leaks, drain, and plugs.** A: One side is for water and the other is for sand. Only one side has a drain plug. My son likes to scoop the water to the other side and likewise the sand. So, yes you can do water on both sides, it won't leak out. Some say it leaks thru the holes for the legs, but that's not the case for ours. Hope this helps! **Q: How much San to fill sand table side** A: We put one bag (from Lowes) in the sand table and no water. The grands have fun with it on both sides. It is on our patio and with more sand, it would be harder to move. One bag is enough for them.
